Joshua T. Pearson is a Tampa-based
visual artist and author whose work reflects a life shaped between Detroit’s industrial edges and the grand canvases of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s this duality that forms the foundation of his visual aesthetic and influences his
layered creative narrative. Throughout his career, Pearson has drawn on parables from the animal kingdom to explore deeply human themes, including faith, fatherhood, depression, vulnerability and fear.
His current collection of work examines biblical passages through a contemporary framework. Layering modern imagery and application, Pearson seeks to reexamine established constructs, reveal more subversive themes and invite deeper connections. Beyond his studio practice, Pearson is widely recognized as the founding member of the creative studio, Pep Rally Inc., where he has established a prolific multidisciplinary career marked by hundreds of public art installations and designs. This interplay between commercial work and personal practice has sharpened and opened his artistic voice.

Revelation 5:5-7 “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. And he went a

Isaiah 38:15-17 What shall I say? For he has spoken to me, and he himself has done it. I walk slowly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.
O Lord, by these things men live,
and in all these is the life of my spirit.
Oh restore me to health and make me live! Behold, it was for my welfare
that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction,

Psalm 25:15-18 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
bring me out of my distresses. Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.

Matthew 18:12-14 What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my[a] Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones sho

Matthew 13:3-8 A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns gr

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
